PALLIATIVE CARE AOTEAROA RESEARCH NETWORK

Kia ora

We are the Palliative Care Aotearoa Research Network (PCARN), a national group of multidisciplinary clinicians, researchers and academics.

Our vision is to promote a culture of clinical research and enquiry across palliative care services in Aotearoa and to support new and existing clinical research in palliative care.

Connection

PCARN is working to create a network of clinical palliative care researchers in Aotearoa to link existing researchers with those just getting started. Search and connect with our database of researchers, find current projects, and grow your own network by attending our biannual palliative care research day.

Mentorship

PCARN will offer mentorship to new and existing researchers by assisting with the generation of research ideas, and providing advice and resources on funding and ethics committee processes. We will work closely with other research networks and palliative care groups to support emerging researchers.

Inclusion

PCARN will promote a positive and inclusive culture of palliative care research in Aotearoa. We will support early Māori researchers and promote opportunities for Māori community researchers to lead and be involved in our mahi. We support multidisciplinary clinicians and academics working together.
